 This week, Sue Myers led an agile planning event for a significant new Remote Sensing capability (Next Generation Overhead Persistent Infrared) for the Air Force. I had expected her to do a little agile training, and facilitate the team’s work to define and capture solid plans for upcoming efforts. She did so much more than that. She challenged us, and helped us define what’s important to the warfighter, what we need from one another, what we need from outside entities, and where our risks are.

People aren't actually dreading work and are optimistic about the future and our ability to deliver quality software on time. The willingness to provide this level of support has resulted in more than one person, both government and contractor, utter the phrase "that's unheard of". With all of the focus on the bottom line and minimizing overhead, a commitment to a project like this was an amazing thing and it has been noted.
